Well done Cameron Pirouet from Jersey!

The Cardiff Met University undergraduate has just competed at his first Commonwealth Games and did himself proud. He took part in the Prone, 3x40 and 10m Air Rifle competitions and particularly distinguished himself in the 3P event, finishing a very creditable 4th in the final.

Shooting against seasoned international athletes from around the globe, Cameron was actually leading in the final for a while before finally ending up just outside the medals. He should be immensely satisfied, particularly as he recorded a PB - breaking his previous best by a whopping 9 points!

Cameron shoots a Swiss made Rieder & Lenz Z2 50m rifle, which he has set in a G&E stock.
